Kate Updates...the end of Month ten!
It's the last few days that I can say "Kate is ten months old." I am trying to treasure it! I know we haven't taken near enough pictures this month because of our primary camera being broken. I am actually off today because I worked on Sunday (I love this job!!) and I will try to get it fixed/replaced today!
On weekends, Kate has started sleeping until 9am. Wow! The older she gets, it seems like the later she sleeps. That's my girl! I LOVE it! I love sleeping in, and I love it that she does too. =) I hope she keeps this up.
Kate now has four official teeth and a 5th on the way! Her top two teeth have come in, and she is Mommy's little Chipmunk. It has totally changed her face, she looks a lot bigger now.
Kate is starting to stand briefly by herself now too! She wants to hold onto something so bad, but we try to pry her hands off stuff and make her stand by herself, and sometimes it works. Yesterday there were two times where we thought she may have taken a step by herself, but if she did it was so quick we can't be sure. She will truly be walking any day now.Comments:Add a comment:

Got a nanny?
Kate went back to daycare last week and we are having some issues. I loved having her in the infant room, the girls there are so loving and sweet and they really care about the babies, but now Kate is in the 1-year old room and we are having problem after problem, mostly due to their lack of attention/awareness to her food allergies. There are SOME good girls in the room but Kate just isn't getting the care that she needs.
It's pretty extensive and pretty sad, so I don't want to get into too much detail here, but if you know anyone that is/wants to be a nanny in the Irvine area, please let me know or have them contact me ASAP. Her daycare is making some serious changes starting next week, so we'll see if they can turn this around. If not, I'm not sure what we will do. But I love my job and I am not quitting! We'll have to figure something out to get her the quality care she deserves!Comments:Add a comment:

Happy Easter!
Our first Easter as a trio! We went to church and dinner yesterday with the Thompsons and it was so much fun! We almost took over the Claim Jumper with all of our little ones - haha!
Today we went to Disney's California Adventure. It really wasn't that crowded and the weather was really nice. Not too hot, not chilly - just perfect! We took Kate on Heimlich's Chew Chew Train and she enjoyed looking around. I am really looking forward to a few months from now when she can run around and enjoy the water fountain (like Noah!) she loves to watch water fountains so much - soon she can be an active participant!
It's kind of funny, but I spent my last day as a non-Cast Member, as a Guest! That's right - I am going back to Disneyland!!! Starting tomorrow, I will be a Sales & Services Manager for Fairy Tale Weddings at the Disneyland Resort. In this job, I get to work with Sara too! It will be lots of work but so much fun. I am BEYOND excited! I am very happy to be going back to work in a position that I wanted for so many years. Disney is an amazing company to work for and I am very blessed to have this opportunity. God is so good! Happy Easter everybody!Comments:Add a comment:

Off to Colorado!
This weekend we went to Colorado to visit family. We got to see almost all of our family, but missed some friends, unfortunately. We had a great time! It snowed while we were there, so of course Daddy took Kate out on the deck and into the snow. Kate put her hand in the snow and immediately withdrew it, she didn't like the snow at all! It was so beautiful there all covered in snow and it was so nice to see so many friends & family. Sadly, our camera stopped working the day before we left, so we only got a few pictures taken with other peoples cameras. We didn't get any pictures of Kate in the snow, with her other Great Grandma, or with Aunt Carol & Uncle Greg. =( (If anyone has any pictures, please send them to me!)
We miss you all so much!Comments:Add a comment:

Growing so much!
How fast can one little girl grow? I think she is outgrowing her baby toys now...we got her a Disneyland Doll and she plays with her and strokes her hair and falls asleep in her carseat clinging to the doll. Time to start changing out the toys!
She now says "tickle tickle tickle" and last night said "dog"! I swear she is trying to say "hat" and she thinks it's hilarious when I wear a hat. Last week we were at the store and I was showing her Elmo clothes and she said "Elmo"! Do you think she's going to be a little chatterbox? Hmmm.....
We don't really let her watch TV, but I heard that some Nick Jr shows are really good starting around this age. So I tried out the show "the Backyardigans" the other day and Kate went nuts - SHE LOVES IT! A lot of the show is singing, so she dances and dances. She even goes up to her gate and watches the cartoon. Now if I can just get her to sit in her Elmo chair and watch it, she'd be just like Daddy!
Comments:Tina: Hmm...maybe we need to check out the Backyardigans, so Noah can love what Kate loves! :)Add a comment:

Brushing hair and eating carbs!
How funny is it that she can understand certain things? If you give her a brush or comb and tell her to brush her hair, she will do it by herself. Now, it doesn't turn out too pretty, but she sure does try.
Kate is going to be a carb junkie like her parents. She loves to eat pasta and crams as much in her mouth as fast as possible. Tonight was her first meal that I let her entirely feed herself - chicken and pasta...she ate and ate! She doesn't like baby food much, she prefers the real stuff...sounds much easier to me! The only challenge is keeping her away from all milk products. Poor Kate has to eat "macaroni" with no "cheese"...luckily she's too young to know the diference for now.Comments:Add a comment:

Kate's new schedule
Kate's at an age now where she eats three meals a day, but still wants her bottles every 3 hours during the day. Weird. I am trying to cut down her formula intake, but she's not a big eater so if she wants the "milk", I just give it to her. We are weaning her from the sippy cup now so we try to give her sippys instead of bottles whenever it's possible and convenient. So far it's going okay! It's our hope that by one year, she will be used to having no bottles and sippys and straw cups only. Wish us luck!
Her naps are down to TWO a day. She is such a big girl!
Kate's getting some top teeth now too! There are three coming in the front on the top, she looks like a rattlesnake because they are starting to poke through but they are really just white nubs on her gums right now. So it looks like she's going to go from 2 teeth to 5 teeth SOON!Comments:Tina: 5 teeth, 2 naps, 3 meals a day? She's growing so fast!Add a comment:

Daddy!!!
Last night after dinner Kate and I were playing in the living room and Donnie went from the kitchen, past the living room and up the stairs. Kate stopped playing when she saw him and watched him go up the stairs...as he disappeared, she said "Daddy!" Yep - that's right, Daddy - not Dada!!! We were ecstatic!
Her vocabulary is still very limited but she continues to surprise us every day! Hopefully next it's "Mommy" instead of Mama!!! Wish me luck! =)Comments:Add a comment:
