Our baby shower was yesterday and it was SO, SO FUN! Thank you to everybody that came! Your friendship and generosity is absolutely amazing! We are just astounded at all of the wonderful friends and family that we have! Some of you traveled so far (and in yukky traffic too!) to come see us, and we are so grateful for you! THANK YOU for all of the beautiful gifts...we absolutely love EVERYTHING and can't wait to get it all put away in Kate's room! Your generosity has truly blown us away! We love you ALL! Enjoy the pictures...more to come!
Much love,
Traci, Donnie, and baby Katelyn JoComments:Add a comment:

We are all done with classes at the hospital! We have had classes on Labor, Car Seat Installation, CPR, and Breastfeeding! We are getting closer and closer to being ready for Baby Katelyn! Now we don't have to go back to the hospital until we are actually in labor! WOW!
Tomorrow is the baby shower and we are VERY excited to see so many of our wonderful friends and family! We really miss you ALL in Colorado and wish you could be here...we can't wait to see you in June, some of you even sooner!Comments:Sharon: WOW WOW and by the way WOW!!!

Today we went to the doctor, and got a good report! We got the talk on knowing where to go, when to know when we are in REAL labor, and to have our bag ready to go! We are getting closer...and we are SUPER EXCITED!

Today we went to visit Grama Vicki, Grampa Brad, Auntie Emma and Uncle Griffin. They gave us an amazing gift - a video camera! WOW! Now we can take TONS of video of our little angel...and make everyone watch it! =)
THANK YOU SO MUCH THOMPSONS!!!!Comments:Add a comment:

She is getting so BIG! One of my favorite things to do right now is to sit and watch her move back and forth, up and down, shake and shudder...it's AMAZING! I think she's getting pretty big and uncomfortable in there, poor thing! I feel little fists slide back and forth on the bottom of my belly and see little knees (and occasionally, a butt) come out of the middle and the top. It's truly remarkable! I just hope she doesn't come straight out of the front...sometimes I wonder, she sure is an active little thing! Can't wait to meet her!!!
I'm getting more contractions now...they aren't in a pattern or anything and they go away when I relax and lay down so I know they aren't "real" yet, but it's neat to get the practice!Comments:Add a comment:

All test results came back negative! So we still have a while to go - yaay!!!! Let's keep her in a few weeks longer, shall we!? ;-)

I went to the Doc this morning! Because of the contractions this week and some other issues, they are currently running tests to see if I am in premature labor! Isn't that exciting!? They will let us know in 24 hours if Katelyn is trying to come out early…but the doc thinks that we probably still have "a couple weeks to go" and that we are "getting close!" However, he just wants to run the tests to be safe. (He is SUCH a great doctor!) I have to do kick counts every day, and continue to time the contractions. If I have too many within an hour, I have to call the doc and go to Labor & Delivery! Whoa!
For now, my last day of work is set to be March 30th. Wow, that seems really soon!
Honestly, I think we are going to be just fine…but I promise to keep you posted! I am really glad he is being cautious and running the tests to be on the safe side!Comments:Sara: Holy moly! Well I take it everything is cool since we haven't heard that you've had a baby by now. She will be here before you know it!Janet: How exciting! I hope you're feeling good.Add a comment:

Just found out today that I passed my glucose test! The normal range is 65-140 and my score was 81...hooray! Now let's celebrate with some refined sugar! (hahaha)

Today I went to Old Navy after work to check out the new stuff for spring...it is all super cute! On the way back to my car I realized that I was exhausted and had to stop walking...so I sat down on a bench and realized I had NO juice left and was having contractions! I called Donnie and explained what was going on, and he was on his way home so he offered to come pick me up. I gave it a few minutes and sat there, then walked (very very slowly - it was really embarrassing) to my car. I made it home, hooray! All night long I couldn't get up, I was stuck on the couch having sporadic contractions. She sure wants to come play early!!! Stay in there, Baby Katelyn! The world can wait for you to come out and play!!!

Friday night we had a Baby Care class at Hoag! We learned so much about bathing the baby, umbilical cord care, swaddling, and what to expect little Katelyn to look like after she is born...all of the "weird things" that are actually normal! We also did a really good review of the book "The Happiest Baby on the Block." The principles that it teaches are just amazing! We bought the book from the hospital and are going to read it before our little angel comes home! Donnie is SO GOOD at swaddling, even the instructor noticed! He has a lot to teach ME! =)
We still have a few classes left...so much to learn!!!Comments:Add a comment:
